SUMMARY:Welcome Orientation Summer 2026 (for all students and PIs)
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to WSU for your summer undergraduate research experience! This orientation meeting in the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE) kicks off a summer of research by undergraduates on the WSU Pullman campus. With lab assignments\, weekly workshops\, plenty of new friends and colleagues\, and exciting activities\, summer programs have much to offer. Students will have a chance to meet other summer participants as well as Jeremy Lessmann\, the Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research. There will be light refreshments in the CUE Atrium for everyone to enjoy before and after the orientation session. SUMMARY:Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium 2026
DESCRIPTION:On the final day of the WSU-hosted Summer Undergraduate Research program\, students from universities across the country\, including WSU\, will share their mentored summer research results at a poster event. The students worked on projects across many STEM disciplines. The symposium is hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research. \nThe welcome and keynote address at 9:00 a.m. will feature a guest speaker. The session will be in-person in CUE 203 and on Zoom. \nStudents will be at their posters starting at 10 a.m. to discuss their efforts and findings with guests and other students.
